DORA metrics
Four measures from Google’s DevOps Research and Assessment group: how often you deploy, how long a change takes to reach production, how often deploys cause a failure, and how fast you recover. A fifth, reliability, was added later.
Why it matters to an engineering manager
An engineering manager uses DORA to see whether the team is shipping in small, recoverable steps. It does not say whether the work was worth doing.
Which tools measure this
Tools tagged DORA. A tag means the vendor's pages listed it. It does not mean every sub-metric is broken out.
